Emile Demarbaix

Current club: K.Beerschot.V.A
Previous Club: Rupel Boom
Birthday: 01/02/2005

Emile Demarbaix was already playing soccer from the cradle, to put it with a cliche. From his first steps, he was already playing with the ball and inseparable. From the first game he was allowed to play he was, just like many of us, immediately in the goal.  With a lot of reluctance of the parents that their son, who just turned 6, chose the most dangerous place on a soccer field, but in Schelle Sport a new talent had risen. After Schelle Sport, the switch to Rupel Boom and K. Beerschot V.A. will not be long in coming.

As Anderlecht fan, Emile is very enthusiastic that Hendrik Van Crombugge can defend the colours of his favourite team. Van Crombrugge is a very versatile goalkeeper. A bit of a complete picture of how a modern goalkeeper should be in contemporary football.

Despite the fact that I have seldom or not even played as a field soccer player, Emile Demarbaix is a goalkeeper who always likes to play along and isn’t anxious to send a player into the woods when the opportunity arises. These football qualities are of course further stimulated by also being a goalkeeper at CKB Puurs. Indoor football is certainly an added value to your technical aspects as a goalkeeper when it comes to footwork.

As a goalkeeper, you should certainly be able to stay focused throughout the game and have the necessary insight. If you’re 11-0 ahead, as a goalkeeper you always want to keep a clean sheet When you are not concentrated or stay focused throughout the game, you can just make a mistake and then give away your clean sheet.

A good goalkeeper also needs a lot of insight It’s the last minute and you have a corner kick against. If you pick the ball right, you can set up a counter and make another goal, but to give the right ball, you need to have the right insight Of course, we are all thinking back to Belgium’s action against Japan in the last World Championship. Admittedly it would have looked completely different for us Belgians if Courtois hadn’t given this ball to Kevin De Bruyne.

No, absolutely not. Emile always thought like a down-to-earth young man “1st provincial and a nice job is perfect”, but at the moment he plays at the u15 of K. Beerschot V.A. at elite level. Yet despite this level he stays with both feet on the ground and tries to enjoy every experience and take it with him to the future.

Because of the experiences a goalkeeper gets in the hall, he will also feel much more comfortable when he gets a ball played in regular football. Because of Emile’s great stature he is also very strong in the air. Nevertheless, he is aware that height does not always say everything with a goalkeeper, but that it is a good thing. That’s why he continues to work very hard on his technical skills at the training sessions and even improve them.

Apart from listening to music, Emile Demarbaix won’t let you notice a lot of other things, not even stress or nerves. “I am by nature a fairly calm person, which allows me to go to a competition in peace and quiet.  His gloves are very well wet before he starts the competition. This is to allow the pores of the latex to open up so that the ideal grip can come to the surface. When I start working with the Aqua model on a drier day with a chance of precipitation, I make it even wetter than the other model. This way I also activate the best grip on this latex.

That’s usually between 5 and 8.

A well known brand is not always much better than the less known brands and moreover they are often double the price for the same quality.

Concentration is the hardest thing for Emile, but just like you get goalkeeper training every week to become better at what you like to do, you can also train your concentration. Every element needed to be a good goalkeeper is therefore not forgotten and given due attention.

The advice can be described as brief and concise. Just keep working and always want to get better. Like any professional football player, you have to keep training, because not training means you can’t learn and when you learn, you’ll get better.

Which models did he choose?

Emile does not hesitate and chooses the best affordable quality available on the market. No compromise on quality or price. Among other things, he chose the following models. Do you also want to work with these professional goalkeeper gloves?
